This is a conversational course that primarily aims to help students to expand their vocabulary and improve their listening skills at C1 level through selected topics from a variety of scientific disciplines and inspirational videos that encourage discussion. This textbook-based course is extended by Ted Talk videos focused on vocabulary commonly found in academic publications/discourse. Although this course focuses mainly on the development of language skills for communication in the academic context, the course is also suitable for any student who wants to improve their speaking and listening skills and is interested in contemporary social science issues.
