The B2+ course is ideal for those who have attended our B2 courses, but wish to spend more time revising the language in order to proceed to our C1 courses. The C1 level in Czech is a rather advanced one and it is important that course participants have a solid B2 level. Our B2+ course is designed to help you be more accurate in your grammar usage and enlarge your vocabulary.
In one semester with two lessons weekly, you will revise the following grammatical items: all verb tenses, the aspect, verbal prefixes, the passive structures, the declensions of dual forms, foreign words, numbers, pronouns, possessive adjectives, and other more advanced grammatical structures.
Vocabulary covers the following topics: language study, human communication, work and career, supernatural phenomena, culture, human interaction, the environment, charitable activities and crime.
The textbook and workbook contain a wealth of exercises to practise the grammar. Audio dialogues present modern Czech language and include examples of spoken Czech. Vocabulary pages contain comprehensive overviews of words, phrases and expressions related to the topic studied.
Upon completing the course, course participants will have attained a solid B2 level and will be able to move onto our C1 courses.
The course is planned for one semester, two 90-min lessons per week, face-to-face in our premises at the Department of Language Studies premises and is taught by a qualified Czech teacher. Course content is presented with the needs of learners from the academia in mind.
